No Country for Old Men is a 2007 American neo-Western crime thriller film based on a 2005 novel. Set in the desert landscape of 1980 West Texas, the film explores the themes of fate, conscience, and circumstance while following three main characters: Llewelyn Moss, a Vietnam War veteran who comes across $2 million dollars in the desert; Anton Chigurh, a hitman who is tasked with reclaiming the money; and Ed Tom Bell, a local sheriff investigating the crime.
